Julio S. Sagreras (Buenos Aires 1879-1942) chitarrista, compositore e didatta è autore di numerose opere fra cui le celebri Lecciones de guitarra apprezzate da generazioni di chitarristi. Disposte in ordine progressivo di difficoltà con dettagliate finalità descritte dallo stesso compositore, le Lezioni accompagnano gradualmente la formazione dell’allievo. Questo volume presenta l’edizione integrale delle Prime Lezioni e una selezione ragionata dei brani più belli e utili – scelti dai successivi cinque volumi – che manifestano la raffinata arte pedagogica del suo autore.

In appendice sono incluse due composizioni molto amate dai chitarristi: la mazurka Maria Luisa (tratta dalle Tres Piezas Fáciles op. 19) e il virtuosistico El Colibrí. Tutti i brani presenti nella raccolta, revisionati da Giovanni Podera e Giulio Tampalini basandosi su fonti originali, sono forniti come contenuti audio digitali con accesso riservato.

Julio Salvador Sagreras (Buenos Aires 1879-1942), guitarist, composer, and teacher, is the author of numerous texts, including the famous Lecciones de guitarra, praised by entire generations of guitarists. Arranged in order of increasing difficulty and with specific objectives  described by the composer himself, the Lessons gradually accompany the student in his or her studies. This book presents the unabridged edition of the First Lessons and includes a carefully chosen collection of useful and beautiful musical selections – extracted from the five later volumes – which demonstrate the author’s refined teaching technique.

The appendix includes two compositions that are particularly admired by guitarists: the mazurka Maria Luisa (a piece taken from Tres Piezas Fáciles Op. 19), and the virtuosic El Colibrí.
